Off the Grid: Life on the Mesa is a messily beautiful film about a bunch of misfits living on 15 miles of land in godforsaken New Mexico. Lots of guns, dope, and fire-setting. But there's also a strong, albeit, unstable sense of self-righting community."Can you come out here and make a film about a bunch of fuck-ups living in the desert if you want to. You know? That's freedom."
