Andrea Davis - You Gave Me Soul
Andrea Davis was a moniker for Chicago singer Minnie Riperton. This single this is from was released in 1966 to a significant amount of local acclaim. Not long after, the Andrea Davis name was dropped and Riperton joined The Rotary Connection and later embarked on a successful solo career.
She died in 1979, at age 31, after a long battle with aggressive breast cancer.
